Convert H264 to 3GP
|
The article introduces how to convert converts H264 files to 3GP
with an easy-to-use H264 to 3GP Converter Software. The software could encode
3GP file with different codecs such as H.263, H.264, MPEG-4, AMR-NB, and AAC.
It's an ideal 3GP converter for your mobile phone. Besides 3GP, the software supports
popular formats such as CAF (Core Audio Format), iPad, OGG Vorbis, FLAC, WebM (VP8), MPG, AAC, etc.
The software could convert RM to AAC, MOD to AAC, DVR-MS to H.264, MOD to PPM image sequence, M2TS to OGM,
and so on.
H264 to 3GP Software supports batch conversion and, is compatible with Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP/2000.
What is H264?
H.264 is a codec used to create MP4 files. Its wide compatibility and range
of features has made it a popular encoder for videos. In this case, inter-layer
prediction (i.e., the prediction of the higher spatial resolution/quality
signal from the data of the lower spatial resolution/quality signal) is
typically used for efficient coding. Texas Instruments manufactures a line
of ARM + DSP cores that perform DSP H264 BP encoding 1080p at 30fps. This
permits flexibility with respect to codecs (which are implemented as highly
optimized DSP code) while being more efficient than software on a generic
CPU. The first draft design for that new standard was adopted in August
1999. The H.264 name follows the ITU-T naming convention, where the standard
is a member of the H.26x line of VCEG video coding standards; the MPEG-4
AVC name relates to the naming convention in ISO/IEC MPEG, where the standard
is part 10 of ISO/IEC 14496, which is the suite of standards known as MPEG-4.
Compression efficiency depends on video algorithmic implementations, not
on whether hardware or software implementation is used. The standard was
developed jointly in a partnership of VCEG and MPEG, after earlier development
work in the ITU-T as a VCEG project called H.26L. The JVT was (is) chaired
by Gary Sullivan, Thomas Wiegand, and Ajay Luthra (Motorola, USA). For
example, a level of support within a profile will specify the maximum picture
resolution, frame rate, and bit rate that a decoder may be capable of using.
Constrained Baseline Profile (CBP): Primarily for low-cost applications,
this profile is most typically used in videoconferencing and mobile applications.
It corresponds to the subset of features that are in common between the
Baseline, Main, and High Profiles.
What is 3GP?
Audio and video container format developed by the 3rd Generation Partnership
Project (3GPP). 3GPP file format was designed for GSM-based Phones and
may have the filename extension ".3gp". Some cell phones use
the .mp4 extension for 3GP video. The 3GP file format was designed to decrease
storage and bandwidth requirements in order to accommodate mobile phones.
The 3GP file format stores video streams as MPEG-4 Part 2 or H.263 or MPEG-4
Part 10 (AVC/H.264), and audio streams as AMR-NB, AMR-WB, AMR-WB+, AAC-LC,
HE-AAC v1 or Enhanced aacPlus (HE-AAC v2). QuickTime 6.5 includes support
for key components of the 3GPP and 3GPP2 specifications. Most 3G capable
mobile phones support the playback and recording of video in 3GP format
(memory, maximum filesize for playback and recording, and resolution limits
exist and vary). It also contains descriptions of image sizes and bitrate.
It stores video streams as MPEG-4 Part 2 or H.263 or MPEG-4 Part 10 (AVC/H.264),
and audio streams as AMR-NB, AMR-WB, AMR-WB+, AAC-LC or HE-AAC. 3GPP is
the new worldwide standards for the creation, delivery and playback of
multimedia over 3rd generation, high-speed wireless networks. A 3GP file
is always big-endian, storing and transferring the most significant bytes
first. 3GPP is based on the MPEG-4 standard which was derived from Apple's
QuickTime. The 3GP is used on 3G mobile phones but can also be played on
some 2G and 4G phones. 3GPP is worldwide standard for the creation, delivery
and playback of multimedia over 3rd generation, high-speed wireless networks.
Audio imported from CD onto a PlayStation 3 when it is set to encode to
the MPEG-4 AAC codec will copy onto USB devices in the 3GP format.
