Android is an operating system for mobile devices such
as smartphones and tablet computers. The most Android devices support the following
video codecs: H.263, H.264, and MPEG-4 SP in 3GP or MP4 formats.
DAT to Android Converter Software converts DAT to Android compatible
3GP and MP4 easily. The output file is compatible with almost any Android
devices such as Samsung Galaxy, HTC Titan, Motorola Droid, and so
on. And, the file is playable by Android built-in media player without any extra
applications.
The software also supports other formats and portable devices such as 3G2, DTS, iPad, Windows Phone, AMR, BMP image sequence, CAF (Core Audio Format),
etc. The software could convert AVI to WMV, EVO to H.264, MPEG to MKV, EVO to ALAC (Apple Lossless), 3G2 to M4V, and so on. DAT to Android Software
supports batch conversion and, is compatible with Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP/2000.
What is DAT?
Video CD (VCD) MPEG-1 movie file. Similarly, the audio frequency range
is limited to those sounds most clearly heard by the human ear. Video specifications:
Codec: MPEG-1; Resolution: 352x240 (NTSC), 352x288 (PAL/SECAM); Aspect
Ratio: 4:3 (NTSC), 4:3 (PAL/SECAM); Framerate: 29.97 or 23.976 frames per
second (NTSC), 25 frames per second (PAL/SECAM); Bitrate: 1,150 kilobits
per second; Rate Control: constant bitrate. The disc format is also supported
using Windows Media Player Classic variations and VLC Media Player both
support VCDs natively. Most DVD players are compatible with VCDs and VCD-only
Players are available throughout Asia, and online through many shopping
sites. VCD video is mostly compatible with the DVD-Video standard, except
for any video encoded at 23.976 frames per second, which must use 3:2 pulldown.
Video CDs are not popular in the US, Canada and Europe, so its support
is limited among mainstream software. As with most CD-based formats, VCD
audio is incompatible with the DVD-Video standard due to a difference in
frequency; DVDs require 48 kHz, whereas VCDs use 44.1 kHz. Overall picture
quality is intended to be comparable to VHS video. Windows Media Player
prior to version 9 and QuickTime Player do not support playing VCD directly,
though they can play the .DAT files (stored under MPEGAV for video and
audio data) reliably, and plugins were available. Video stream from a Video
CD (VCD) disc; typically saved in MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 format; contains the
actual video data that is played from the VCD. Although many DVD video
players support playback of VCDs, VCD video is only compatible with the
DVD-Video standard if encoded at 29.97 frames per second or 25 frames per
second.
What is Android?
Android was originally a Linux based operating system developed by Android
Inc. The Android operating system is open source, unlike Apple's secretive
code, Google has chosen to give away most of the code that powers Android.
Because the code is free to developers and manufacturers, it is very attractive
to device manufacturers who prefer to spend their resources on manufacturing
high quality devices instead of reinventing the wheel by creating a proprietary
operating systems. Google marketed the platform to handset makers and carriers
on the promise of providing a flexible, upgradable system. Google had lined
up a series of hardware component and software partners and signaled to
carriers that it was open to various degrees of cooperation on their part.
There are around 200000 applications developed for android with over 3
billion+ downloads. Android relies on Linux version 2.6 for core system
services such as security, memory management, process management, network
stack, and driver model. For software development, Android provides Android
SDK (Software development kit). Google publishes most of the code (including
network and telephony stacks) under the Apache License version 2.0, and
the rest, Linux kernel changes, under the GNU General Public License version
2. Android devices are already smart, and will only get smarter, with new
features you won't find on any other platform, letting you focus on what's
important and putting you in control of your mobile experience. As its
Google's mobile operating system, any Android phone comes pre-loaded with
a range of Google services including Google Search, Gmail, Google Maps,
Google Earth, Google Calendar, Google Latitude and YouTube.
