Convert H263 to JPG/JPEG Sequence

JPG/JPEG is a commonly used method of lossy compression for digital photography (image). The degree of compression can be adjusted, allowing a selectable tradeoff between storage size and image quality. JPEG typically achieves 10:1 compression with little perceptible loss in image quality.

H263 to JPG/JPEG Converter Software converts H263 to JPG/JPEG sequence files. So, you could get every frame image of H263 in JPG/JPEG format. You can also set output frame rate and JPG/JPEG resolution in the software. The output JPG/JPEG files look something like the following screen shot.

The software also supports other formats and portable devices such as Xvid, SWF, OGV, PPM image sequence, MP4, MP3, Android Tablet, etc. The software could convert DAT to AC3, OGV to AIFF, DVD to FLAC, FLV to VCD, OGV to OGG Vorbis, and so on.

H263 to JPG/JPEG Software supports batch conversion and, is compatible with Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP/2000.

What is H263?
H.263 is a video codec standard originally designed as a low-bitrate compressed format for videoconferencing. Its first version was completed in 1995 and provided a suitable replacement for H.261 at all bitrates. The next enhanced codec developed by ITU-T VCEG (in partnership with MPEG) after H.263 is the H.264 standard, also known as AVC and MPEG-4 part 10. Since the original ratification of H.263 in March 1996 (approving a document that was produced in November 1995), there have been two subsequent additions which improved on the original codec by additional optional annexes (extensions). For example, the H.263v2 added a deblocking filter via Annex J. H.263 is a standard video-conferencing codec. As such, it is optimized for low data rates and relatively low motion. 4CIF and 16CIF are 4 and 16 times the resolution of CIF respectively. H.263 supports five resolutions(CIF (Common Interchange Format), QCIF (Quarter Common Interchange Format), SQCIF, 4CIF and 16CIF). The original version of the RealVideo codec was based on H263 video up until the release of RealVideo 8. It has replaced H.261 for video conferencing in most applications and also dominates Internet video streaming today. H.263 is a provisional ITU-T standard, it is due to be published sometime in 1995/1996. The coding algorithm of H.263 is similar to that used by H.261, however with some improvements and changes to improve performance and error recovery. H.263 has since found many applications on the internet: much Flash Video content (as used on sites such as YouTube, Google Video, MySpace, etc.) used to be encoded in Sorenson Spark format (an incomplete implementation of H.263), though many sites now use VP6 or H.264 encoding.

What is JPG?
Standard computer file format for storing graphic images in a compressed form for general use. JPEG images are compressed using a mathematical algorithm. A variety of encoding processes can be used, depending on whether the user's goal is the highest quality of image (lossless) or smallest file size (lossy). The JPEG and GIF formats are the most commonly used graphics formats on the Internet for lossy and lossless data compression, respectively. A simple or "baseline" JPEG file is stored as one top-to-bottom scan of the image. Progressive JPEG divides the file into a series of scans. The first scan shows the image at the equivalent of a very low quality setting, and therefore it takes very little space. Making image files smaller is a win for transmitting files across networks and for archiving libraries of images. Being able to compress a 2 Mbyte full-color file down to, say, 100 Kbytes makes a big difference in disk space and transmission time! And JPEG can easily provide 20:1 compression of full-color data. If you are comparing GIF and JPEG, the size ratio is usually more like 4:1. On the other hand, JPEG may not be as well suited for line drawings and other textual or iconic graphics, where the sharp contrasts between adjacent pixels can cause noticeable artifacts. Such images may be better saved in a lossless graphics format such as TIFF, GIF, PNG, or a raw image format. The JPEG standard actually includes a lossless coding mode, but that mode is not supported in most products. The file extensions for this format are .JPEG, .JFIF, .JPG, OR .JPE although .JPG is the most common on all platforms. Regular JPEG is "lossy", meaning that the image you get out of decompression isn't quite identical to what you originally put in. The algorithm achieves much of its compression by exploiting known limitations of the human eye, notably the fact that small color details aren't perceived as well as small details of light-and-dark. Thus, JPEG is intended for compressing images that will be looked at by humans. If you plan to machine-analyze your images, the small errors introduced by JPEG may be a problem for you, even if they are invisible to the eye. The JPEG standard includes a separate lossless mode, but it is rarely used and does not give nearly as much compression as the lossy mode.
