MP4 to H.264 Converter Software converts MP4 files to H.264. With
an easy-to-use interface, it makes MP4 to H.264 conversion routine as easy
as 1-2-3, without knowledge of MP4 and H.264. The converter helps any beginners
and experts to create high quality video files in minutes. This program encodes
MP4 to H.264 with professional quality. The MP4 to H.264 Converter Software enables
more people enjoy the advantage about this advanced video
coding. The H.264 is one of HTML5 video formats, you can also
put the H.264 video to your website.
The software could convert more than 100 media foramts to popular video formats
and portable devices such as DivX, Xvid, DV, CAF (Core Audio Format), M4A (MPEG-4 audio), 3G2, SWF, etc. It could convert MOV to OGG Vorbis, M4V to SWF, ASF to FLAC, 3G2 to PPM image sequence, M4V to CAF (Core Audio Format),
and so on.
MP4 to H.264 Converter Software supports batch conversion and,
is full compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP/2000.
What is MP4?
Movie or video clip that uses MPEG-4 compression, a standard developed
by the Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG); commonly used for sharing video
files on the Internet. MPEG-4 Part 14 is an instance of more general ISO/IEC
14496-12:2004 (MPEG-4 Part 12: ISO base media file format) which is directly
based upon QuickTime File Format. The key parts to be aware of are MPEG-4
part 2 (including Advanced Simple Profile, used by codecs such as DivX,
Xvid, Nero Digital and 3ivx and by Quicktime 6) and MPEG-4 part 10 (MPEG-4
AVC/H.264 or Advanced Video Coding, used by the x264 encoder, by Nero Digital
AVC, by Quicktime 7, and by high-definition video media like Blu-ray Disc).
MPEG-4 enables different software and hardware developers to create multimedia
objects possessing better abilities of adaptability and flexibility to
improve the quality of such services and technologies as digital television,
animation graphics, the World Wide Web and their extensions. Here are some
file extensions used on files that contain data in the *.mp4 format: .mp4:
official extension, for audio, video and advanced content (see above) files;
.m4a: for audio-only files; can safely be renamed to *.mp4, though opinions
differ on the wisdom of this; .m4p: FairPlay protected files; .mp4v, .m4v:
video-only (sometimes also used for raw mpeg-4 video streams not in the
*.mp4 container format); .3gp, .3g2: used by 3G mobile phones, may also
store content not specified directly in the *.mp4 specification (H.263,
AMR, TX3G). iTunes and Quicktime both use mp4 video compression. MP4 files
are files that support both video and audio and are primarily used as a
file format to stream over the Internet.
What is H.264?
H.264 encompasses a collection of powerful features that enable the delivery
of high-quality video at very low data rates. While MPEG-4 Part 10 is an
ISO/IEC standard, it was developed in cooperation with the ITU, an organization
heavily involved in broadcast television standards. The maximum bit rate
for High Profile is 1.25 times that of the Base/Extended/Main Profiles,
3 times for Hi10P, and 4 times for Hi422P/Hi444PP. The CCTV (Closed Circuit
TV) and Video Surveillance markets have included the technology in many
products. H.264 is a new video codec standard which can achieve high quality
video in relatively low bitrates. Canon DSLRs use the H.264 QuickTime MOV
as the native recording. The standardization of the first version of H.264/AVC
was completed in May 2003. The H.264 standard can be viewed as a "family
of standards", the members of which are the profiles described below.
Main Profile (MP): This profile is used for standard-definition digital
TV broadcasts that use the MPEG-4 format as defined in the DVB standard.
It is not, however, used for high-definition television broadcasts, as
the importance of this profile faded when the High Profile was developed
in 2004 for that application. A specific decoder decodes at least one,
but not necessarily all profiles. The decoder specification describes which
of the profiles can be decoded. Two profiles were developed in the MVC
work: Multiview High Profile supports an arbitrary number of views, and
Stereo High Profile is designed specifically for two-view stereoscopic
video. These extensions enabled higher quality video coding by supporting
increased sample bit depth precision and higher-resolution color information,
including sampling structures known as Y'CbCr 4:2:2 (=YUV 4:2:2) and Y'CbCr
4:4:4.
