What is H264?
H.264 is a codec used to create MP4 files. Its wide compatibility and range
of features has made it a popular encoder for videos. Constrained Baseline
Profile (CBP): Primarily for low-cost applications, this profile is most
typically used in videoconferencing and mobile applications. It corresponds
to the subset of features that are in common between the Baseline, Main,
and High Profiles. Controversies surrounding the H.264 video compression
standard stem primarily from its use within the HTML5 Internet standard.
These extensions enabled higher quality video coding by supporting increased
sample bit depth precision and higher-resolution color information, including
sampling structures known as Y'CbCr 4:2:2 (=YUV 4:2:2) and Y'CbCr 4:4:4.
An encoder converts video into a compressed format and a decoder converts
compressed video back into an uncompressed format. Specified in Annex H
of H.264/AVC, MVC enables the construction of bitstreams that represent
more than one view of a video scene. In this case, inter-layer prediction
(i.e., the prediction of the higher spatial resolution/quality signal from
the data of the lower spatial resolution/quality signal) is typically used
for efficient coding. For temporal bitstream scalability (i.e., the presence
of a sub-bitstream with a smaller temporal sampling rate than the main
bitstream), complete access units are removed from the bitstream when deriving
the sub-bitstream. HTML5 is being developed by the HTML5 working group
as an open standard to be adopted by all web browser developers. The Digital
Video Broadcast project (DVB) approved the use of H.264/AVC for broadcast
television in late 2004.
What is iPhone?
iPhone is recognized being a type of smartphones that has enabled multimedia

parties. The touchscreen on the first five generations is a 9 cm (3.5 in)
liquid crystal display with scratch-resistant glass, while the one on the
iPhone 5 is 4 inches. The capacitive touchscreen is designed for a bare
finger, or multiple fingers for multi-touch sensing. The screens on the
first three generations have a resolution of 320 * 480 (HVGA) at 163 ppi;
those on the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S have a resolution of 640 * 960 at 326
ppi, and the iPhone 5, 1,136 * 640 at 326 ppi. The iPhone 5 model's screen
results in an aspect ratio of nearly exactly 16:9.

The iPhone supports H.264 and MPEG-4 codec for video. Video size could be either
320x240, 480x320, 640x480, 720x480, 720x576, 960x540, 1024x576, or 1280x720. You
can also customize video size manually.
