WebM to H.264 Converter Software converts WebM files to H.264. With
an easy-to-use interface, it makes WebM to H.264 conversion routine as easy
as 1-2-3, without knowledge of WebM and H.264. The converter helps any beginners
and experts to create high quality video files in minutes. This program encodes
WebM to H.264 with professional quality. The WebM to H.264 Converter Software enables
more people enjoy the advantage about this advanced video
coding. The H.264 is one of HTML5 video formats, you can also
put the H.264 video to your website.
The software could convert more than 100 media foramts to popular video formats
and portable devices such as 3G2, Windows Phone, AAC, FLV, PNG image sequence, VOB (DVD Video), WAV, etc. It could convert MPEG to MPG, DAT to MP2, 3GP to Windows Phone, MPEG to M4B (MPEG-4 audiobook), 3G2 to OGM,
and so on.
WebM to H.264 Converter Software supports batch conversion and,
is full compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP/2000.
What is WebM?
The WEBM container format is based on the Matroska container, which stores
Matroska video in .MKV files. Most major Web browsers will support WebM
as part of HTML5 video delivery. WebM was built for the web. By testing
hundreds of thousands of videos with widely varying characteristics, we
found that the VP8 video codec delivers high-quality video while efficiently
adapting to varying processing and bandwidth conditions across a broad
range of devices. VP8's efficient bandwidth usage will mean lower serving
costs for content publishers and high quality video for end-users. The
codec's relative simplicity makes it easy to integrate into existing environments
and requires less manual tuning to produce high quality results. These
existing attributes and the rapid innovation we expect through the open-development
process make VP8 well suited for the unique requirements of video on the
web. Logitech is planning to use WebM as part of a video calling service.
In mid-2010, Simon Phipps, a board member for the Open Source Initiative,
expressed doubts as to whether the original WebM license was an open-source
license, since it had not been submitted to the OSI for approval. Serving
video on the web is different from traditional broadcast and offline mediums.
Existing video formats were designed to serve the needs of these mediums
and do it very well. WebM is focused on addressing the unique needs of
serving video on the web. VP8 is a highly efficient video compression technology
that was developed by On2 Technologies. Google acquired On2 in February,
2010. For more information, see the -VP8 Video Codec" section below.
Also ST-Ericsson and Huawei have hardware implementations in their computer
chips.
What is H.264?
The H.264 video file format is a compressed file that still maintains all
of its video and audio detail. Constrained Baseline Profile (CBP): Primarily
for low-cost applications, this profile is most typically used in videoconferencing
and mobile applications. It corresponds to the subset of features that
are in common between the Baseline, Main, and High Profiles. H.264 is also
known as MPEG-4 AVC. High Profile (HiP): The primary profile for broadcast
and disc storage applications, particularly for high-definition television
applications (for example, this is the profile adopted by the Blu-ray Disc
storage format and the DVB HDTV broadcast service). Specified in Annex
H of H.264/AVC, MVC enables the construction of bitstreams that represent
more than one view of a video scene. The Scalable Video Coding extensions
were completed in November 2007. The CCTV (Closed Circuit TV) and Video
Surveillance markets have included the technology in many products. The
H.264 video format has a very broad application range that covers all forms
of digital compressed video from low bit-rate Internet streaming applications
to HDTV broadcast and Digital Cinema applications with nearly lossless
coding. The first draft design for that new standard was adopted in August
1999. The final drafting work on the first version of the standard was
completed in May 2003. HTML5 is being developed by the HTML5 working group
as an open standard to be adopted by all web browser developers. Therefore,
the difference between hardware and software based implementation is more
on power-efficiency, flexibility and cost. These extensions enabled higher
quality video coding by supporting increased sample bit depth precision
and higher-resolution color information, including sampling structures
known as Y'CbCr 4:2:2 (=YUV 4:2:2) and Y'CbCr 4:4:4.
