Convert EVO to MOV/QuickTime
|
EVO to MOV Converter Software converts EVO files to MOV
with H.264 or MPEG-4 video codecs. The MOV is QuickTime File Format (QTFF) used
natively by the QuickTime application. The MOV is very common on Mac OS like WMV
on Windows. It's a great tool for converting format when transferring file to
Mac OS. The EVO to MOV Converter Software also supports other video, audio,
and device formats, for example, DTS, JPG image sequence, DivX, SWF, AC3, Xvid, 3G2, etc.
The software could convert M4V to FLAC, H263 to AMR, FLV to SWF, 3GP to M4V, RM to CAF (Core Audio Format),
and so on.
EVO to MOV Converter Software supports batch conversion and, is compatible
with Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP/2000 (both x86 and 64-bit platforms).
What is EVO?
High definition video file from an HD DVD disc; stores the movie's main
audio/video data; similar to a .VOB file on a standard DVD; can be played
by various PC video playback programs. It is an extension to VOB, which
is an extension to MPEG-2 Program stream. Backward compatibility is available
with all HD DVD players, allowing users to have a single player to play
all types of HD DVD, DVD and CD. It contains the actual video, audio, subtitle
and menu contents in stream form. Third-party player software for Windows
and Linux have successfully played HD DVD titles using the add-on drive.
The extensions are in the form of private stream data and their interpretation.
Because all variants except 3* DVD and HD REC employed a blue laser with
a shorter wavelength, HD DVD could store about 3.2 times as much data per
layer as its predecessor (maximum capacity: 15 GB per layer instead of
4.7 GB per layer). HD DVD (short for High-Definition/Density DVD) is a
discontinued high-density optical disc format for storing data and high-definition
video. There is also a hybrid HD DVD format which contains both DVD and
HD DVD versions of the same movie on a single disc, providing a smooth
transition for the studios in terms of publishing movies, and allowing
consumers with only DVD players to still use the discs. EVO files can contain
video encoded in H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, VC-1, or MPEG-2 and audio encoded in
AC-3, E-AC-3, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, DTS-HD, PCM, and MPEG-2. HD DVD drives
can also be used with a desktop/laptop personal computer (PC) running Windows
XP, Windows Vista, Mac OS X v10.5 "Leopard", and many varieties
of Linux. HD DVD-RAM has a single-layer capacity of 20 GB. Like the original
DVD format, the data layer of an HD DVD is 0.6 mm below the surface to
physically protect the data layer from damage.
What is MOV?
MOV is the file format and media file extension for the QuickTime player.
Quicktime is a multimedia development, storage, and playback technology
from Apple. The classic version of QuickTime is available for Windows XP
and later, as well as Mac OS X Leopard and later operating systems. The
ability to contain abstract data references for the media data, and the
separation of the media data from the media offsets and the track edit
lists means that QuickTime is particularly suited for editing, as it is
capable of importing and editing in place (without data copying). If you're
emailing a clip or simply need more storage space, set the preferences
for files that use the MOV extension to make the most efficient use of
your storage space. The multimedia container files store audio, video,
text and more for specific use with the Mac operating system. The codec
initially was developed by use in Apple's QuickTime player. However, MOV
files can become very large, as they contain video, audio, text, effects
and other information that make the media engaging. Of course, compressing
a MOV file can help save storage space and make it easier to download and
distribute the video file. It also accepted by Windows-based systems. Most
media players and video editors accept the .mov movie format, making it
one of the most versatile formats available on your computer. QuickTime
enables file compression by modifying video, effects and audio settings.
As a multimedia stardand, QuickTime is not purely linear. It could contain
interactivity and causes problems when converting to other video formats.
Using a Quicktime player that either comes with a Web browser or can be
downloaded from Apple or the browser company, you can view and control
brief multimedia sequences.
