Convert TS to BMP Sequence
|
The BMP file format, also known as bitmap image file or
Device Independent Bitmap (DIB) file format or simply a bitmap, is a raster graphics
image file format used to store bitmap digital images, independently of the display
device (such as a graphics adapter), especially on Microsoft Windows and OS/2
operating systems. The BMP is stored uncompressed; so it's a lossless image format,
but file size is very big.
TS to BMP Converter Software converts TS to BMP sequence files.
With the software, you could get every frame image of TS in BMP format. The
converter software also supports other output image formats such as JPG,
PNG, and TIFF. You can convert only a part of TS to BMP instead of the entire
file. And you can set how many frames per second to be extracted with the software.
The output BMP files look something like this.
The software also supports other formats and portable devices such as WMA, Android Tablet, Windows Phone, CAF (Core Audio Format), M4A (MPEG-4 audio), OGG Vorbis, PPM image sequence,
etc. The software could convert MPEG to CAF (Core Audio Format), OGV to AC3, MPEG to H.264, WebM to OGG, H264 to AC3, and so on.
TS to BMP Software supports batch conversion and, is compatible
with Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP/2000.
What is TS?
Transport stream (TS, TP, MPEG-TS, or M2T) is a communications protocol
for audio, video, and data which is specified in MPEG-2 Part 1, Systems
(ISO/IEC standard 13818-1). The transport stream allows for multiplexing
of the digital video and audio, which means the data is combined into a
single synchronous transmission bit stream, for transmission over a variety
of standard mediums such as DSL, IP, IPv, Ethernet, Cable TV networks,
and more. MPEG-2 is the format used in the DVD-Video format and is also
part of the HD DVD specification, although it has trouble competing with
more compressible formats such as VC-1 and H.264. It is also known as ITU-T
Rec. H.222.0. Its design goal is to allow multiplexing of digital video
and audio and to synchronize the output. As an MPEG format, there are a
variety of players and methods to play back TS files or to "convert"
them to more compliant MPEG-2 files for authoring as DVD / HD DVD. TS files
are nowadays very wide spread on the Internet as (usually split) recordings
from HDTV broadcasts. It is contrasted with program stream, designed for
more reliable media such as DVDs.
What is BMP?
The .bmp file extension is given to raster image files, also known as bitmap
image files. These non-compressed image files contain a file header and
the pixels of the associated bitmap. The BMP file format is capable of
storing 2D digital images of arbitrary width, height, and resolution, both
monochrome and color, in various color depths, and optionally with data
compression, alpha channels, and color profiles. Bitmap file header: this
block of bytes is at the start of the file and is used to identify the
file. A typical application reads this block first to ensure that the file
is actually a BMP file and that it is not damaged. The first two bytes
of the BMP file format are the character 'B' then the character 'M' in
1-byte ASCII encoding. All of the integer values are stored in little-endian
format (i.e. least-significant byte first). Indexed color images may be
compressed with 4-bit or 8-bit RLE or Huffman 1D algorithm. OS/2 BITMAPCOREHEADER2
24bpp images may be compressed with the 24-bit RLE algorithm. The 16bpp
and 32bpp images are always stored uncompressed. Note that images in all
color depths can be stored without compression if so desired. DIB header
(bitmap information header): this block of bytes tells the application
detailed information about the image, which will be used to display the
image on the screen. The block also matches the header used internally
by Windows and OS/2 and has several different variants. All of them contain
a dword (32 bit) field, specifying their size, so that an application can
easily determine which header is used in the image. The reason that there
are different headers is that Microsoft extended the DIB format several
times.
