|
VOB to MOV Converter Software converts VOB files to MOV
with H.264 or MPEG-4 video codecs. The MOV is QuickTime File Format (QTFF) used
natively by the QuickTime application. The MOV is very common on Mac OS like WMV
on Windows. It's a great tool for converting format when transferring file to
Mac OS. The VOB to MOV Converter Software also supports other video, audio,
and device formats, for example, AMR, M4V, 3G2, MP2, ASF, OGM, DV, etc.
The software could convert M2TS to CAF (Core Audio Format), 3GP to M4B (MPEG-4 audiobook), OGV to iPhone, XVID to iPad, FLV to CAF (Core Audio Format),
and so on.
VOB to MOV Converter Software supports batch conversion and, is compatible
with Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP/2000 (both x86 and 64-bit platforms).
What is VOB?
A VOB file (Video Object) is a container format contained in DVD-Video
media. VOB is based on MPEG-2 program stream format, but with additional
limitations and specifications in the private streams. It contains the
actual Video, Audio, Subtitle, and Menu contents in stream form. Basically
VOB file is just a basic MPEG-2 system stream -- meaning that it is a file
that contains multiplexed MPEG-2 video stream, audio streams (normally
AC3 and DTS formats) and subtitle streams. The MPEG format is a universal
extension that is compatible with a majority of media players both online,
and through hand-held devices. Many DVD-Video titles are encrypted with
Content Scramble System (CSS). This is a data encryption and communications
authentication method designed to prevent copying video and audio data
directly from the DVD-Video discs. Decryption and authentication keys needed
for playing back encrypted VOB files are stored in the normally inaccessible
lead-in area of the DVD and are used only by CSS decryption software (e.g.,
in a DVD player or software player). On the DVD, all the content for one
title set is contiguous, but broken up into 1 GiB VOB files in the computer
compatible file systems for the convenience of the various operating systems.
The MPEG program stream has provisions for non-standard data (as used in
VOB files) in the form of so-called private streams. Files in VOB format
have .vob filename extension and are typically stored in the VIDEO_TS folder
at the root of a DVD. VOBs contain excellent playback quality and typically
take up lots of hard drive space. Audio in a VOB can be encoded through
a multitude of codecs, depending on how many channels of sound there are.
What is MOV?
The MOV file type is a video file developed by Apple, most commonly associated
with the QuickTime video player. Each track either contains a digitally
encoded media stream (using a specific format) or a data reference to the
media stream located in another file. With additional QuickTime Components,
it can also support ASF, DivX Media Format, Flash Video, Matroska, Ogg,
and many others. Other media programs and digital devices, including Windows
Media Player and many digital cameras, also use the format to store video
files. If you want to play MOV files on your computer, you'll have to download
Apple's own Quicktime player from its website. QuickTime is bundled with
Mac OS X. QuickTime for Microsoft Windows has always been downloadable
as a standalone installation, as well as being bundled with Apple's iTunes.
If you're emailing a clip or simply need more storage space, set the preferences
for files that use the MOV extension to make the most efficient use of
your storage space. Software development kits (SDKs) for QuickTime are
available to the public with an Apple Developer Connection (ADC) subscription.
It also accepted by Windows-based systems. Most media players and video
editors accept the .mov movie format, making it one of the most versatile
formats available on your computer. MOV files are played on a QuickTime
Video player. QuickTime player is a free media player developed by Apple
and is available for Windows and Mac OS X systems. This easy-to-use player
allows you to play your MOV files of different sizes and aspect ratios
at high resolutions. Watch your standard or high-definition MOV files in
the best way possible.
