Android is an operating system for mobile devices such
as smartphones and tablet computers. The most Android devices support the following
video codecs: H.263, H.264, and MPEG-4 SP in 3GP or MP4 formats.
3GP to Android Converter Software converts 3GP to Android compatible

applications.
The software also supports other formats and portable devices such as MPA, Windows Phone, MMF, OGM, AVI, CAF (Core Audio Format), 3G2,
etc. The software could convert 3G2 to OGM, MKV to Android Tablet, DIVX to WMA, WebM to Android Phone, FLV to 3G2, and so on. 3GP to Android Software

What is 3GP?
Audio and video container format developed by the 3rd Generation Partnership
Project (3GPP). Audio imported from CD onto a PlayStation 3 when it is
set to encode to the MPEG-4 AAC codec will copy onto USB devices in the
3GP format. These extensions were registered by the registration authority
for code-points in ISO base media file format ("MP4 Family" files).
It also contains descriptions of image sizes and bitrate. 3GPP is based
on the MPEG-4 standard which was derived from Apple's QuickTime. The 3GP
file type is primarily associated with '3GPP'. 3GPP is worldwide standard
for the creation, delivery and playback of multimedia over 3rd generation,
high-speed wireless networks. The 3GP is structurally based on the ISO
base media file format defined in ISO/IEC 14496-12 - MPEG-4 Part 12, but
older versions of the 3GP file format did not use some of its features.
3GP is defined in the ETSI 3GPP technical specification. The 3GP file format
stores video streams as MPEG-4 Part 2 or H.263 or MPEG-4 Part 10 (AVC/H.264),
and audio streams as AMR-NB, AMR-WB, AMR-WB+, AAC-LC, HE-AAC v1 or Enhanced
aacPlus (HE-AAC v2). Designed as a multimedia format for transmitting audio
and video files between 3G cell phones and over the Internet; commonly
used by mobile phones that support video capture. Tailored to the unique
requirements of mobile devices, 3GPP and 3GPP2 take advantage of MPEG-4,
the standard for delivery of video and audio over the Internet. 3GPP is
the new worldwide standards for the creation, delivery and playback of
multimedia over 3rd generation, high-speed wireless networks. 3GPP file
format was designed for GSM-based Phones and may have the filename extension
".3gp".
What is Android?
Android is a Linux-based mobile phone operating system developed by Google.
Android is unique because Google is actively developing the platform but
giving it away for free to hardware manufacturers and phone carriers who
want to use Android on their devices. Android, Inc. was founded in Palo
Alto, California in October 2003 by Andy Rubin (co-founder of Danger),
Rich Miner (co-founder of Wildfire Communications, Inc.), Nick Sears (once
VP at T-Mobile), and Chris White (headed design and interface development
at WebTV) to develop, in Rubin's words "...smarter mobile devices
that are more aware of its owner's location and preferences." Despite
the obvious past accomplishments of the founders and early employees, Android
Inc. operated secretly, revealing only that it was working on software
for mobile phones. That same year, Rubin ran out of money. Steve Perlman,
a close friend of Rubin, brought him $10,000 in cash in an envelope and
refused a stake in the company. The Android Market unofficially has over
300,000 apps, quickly catching up to Apple's app store. With over 550,000
new Android phones being Activated each day, Android device users total
over 130 million. While Android is designed primarily for smartphones and
tablets, the open and customizable nature of the operating system allows
it to be used on other electronics, including laptops and netbooks, smartbooks
and smart TVs (Google TV). Android has a growing selection of third party
applications, which can be acquired by users either through an app store
such as Google Play or the Amazon Appstore, or by downloading and installing
the application's APK file from a third-party site.
