What is DVR-MS?
Microsoft Digital Video Recording, or DVR-MS, is a video and audio format created by Microsoft. DVR-MS files have Digital Video Recording (DVR) functions, which includes pausing of live television, recording television programs and other DVR capabilities. If a recorded broadcast is marked as copy protected, the resultant DVR-MS file can only be played back on the recording device. DVR-MS files use MPEG-2 video encoding and AC3 for audio encoding. Audio and video are wrapped in an ASF container with the extension DVR-MS. DRM, or digital rights management, is the term to describe restricting or limiting the use of digital content and digital devices. They can also played within Windows Media Center, which is included with Windows Vista Home Premium and Ultimate editions. Zach Johnson, a developer for Microsoft Windows XP, was the first to use the DVR-MS file extension. DVR-MS is the file type used for video that has been captured from television through a digital video recorder. A simple registry tweak/hack also exists for allowing the Windows XP version of Windows Movie Maker to natively import/edit DVR-MS files. Major companies such as Microsoft and Amazon use DRM protection for their media files. DVR-MS can also be converted to another format changing only the container format (extracting the original MPEG-2 data without any visual loss) using FFmpeg and VLC media player's transcoding wizard. Similar in format to *.ASF, the *.DVR-MS (DVR) file enhancements allow the creation of key PVR functionality, including time-shifting, live pause, and simultaneous record and playback. These files now use a .WTV extension. For older Windows operating systems, any third-party media player which supports the DVR-MS format through DirectShow on Windows or by other means on Windows or other platforms can be used for playback.

What is iPhone?
iPhone is a smartphone made by Apple that combines an iPod, a tablet PC, a digital camera and a cellular phone. The device includes Internet browsing and networking capabilities. With the release of iOS 6, which was released on September 19, 2012, Apple added features that enable the user to have options to decline a phone call when a person is calling them. The user has the capability to reply with a message, or to set a reminder to call them back at a later time. The touch and gesture features of the iPhone are based on technology originally developed by FingerWorks. Most gloves and styli prevent the necessary electrical conductivity; however, capacitive styli can be used with iPhone's finger-touch screen. The iPhone 3GS and later also feature a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating. The iPhone includes a visual voicemail (in some countries) feature allowing users to view a list of current voicemail messages on-screen without having to call into their voicemail. Unlike most other systems, messages can be listened to and deleted in a non-chronological order by choosing any message from an on-screen list. Consequently, the UK's Advertising Standards Authority adjudicated that an advertisement claiming the iPhone could access "all parts of the internet" should be withdrawn in its current form, on grounds of false advertising. In a rare public letter in April 2010, Apple CEO Steve Jobs outlined the reasoning behind the absence of Flash on the iPhone (and iPad). The iPhone supports SVG, CSS, HTML Canvas, and Bonjour. The iPhone 3GS has a maximum download rate of 7.2 Mbit/s. Furthermore, email attachments as well as apps and media from Apple's various stores must be smaller than 20 MB to be downloaded over a cellular network. Larger files, often email attachments or podcasts, must be downloaded over Wi-Fi (which has no file size limits). If Wi-Fi is unavailable, one workaround is to open the files directly in Safari.
