Convert M4V to BMP Sequence
|
The BMP file format, also known as bitmap image file or
Device Independent Bitmap (DIB) file format or simply a bitmap, is a raster graphics
image file format used to store bitmap digital images, independently of the display
device (such as a graphics adapter), especially on Microsoft Windows and OS/2
operating systems. The BMP is stored uncompressed; so it's a lossless image format,
but file size is very big.
M4V to BMP Converter Software converts M4V to BMP sequence files.
With the software, you could get every frame image of M4V in BMP format. The
converter software also supports other output image formats such as JPG,
PNG, and TIFF. You can convert only a part of M4V to BMP instead of the entire
file. And you can set how many frames per second to be extracted with the software.
The output BMP files look something like this.
The software also supports other formats and portable devices such as DV, 3G2, MKA, Windows Phone, MP2, FLAC, CAF (Core Audio Format),
etc. The software could convert WebM to SPX (Speex), H263 to Windows Phone, MP4 to Windows Phone, WebM to 3G2, DAT to CAF (Core Audio Format), and so on.
M4V to BMP Software supports batch conversion and, is compatible
with Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP/2000.
What is M4V?
Files ending in a .m4v extension are proprietary video files from Apple's
iTunes online store. Movies, TV shows and music videos downloaded from
iTunes have this extension. M4V files are video files that are most commonly
associated with Apple iTunes. If a file is protected, unauthorized users
may be unable to view, open, edit, delete or otherwise access the file.
Also, embedding it in the content of the site allows greater visibility
for the M4V video. The differences are the optional Apple's DRM copyright
protection, and the treatment of AC3 (Dolby Digital) audio which is not
standardized for the MP4 container. Although the format is used by the
Apple iTunes Store to distribute video, third-party videos can be encoded
as M4V files since it is an open format. M4V is a Mac-based file extension
used in the iTunes store. If you download any videos from iTunes, it will
have the M4V extension. Most video files downloaded from the iTunes store
are not authorized for duplication by anyone other than the copyright holder
and thus are stored in protected M4V files. Embedding an M4V video in a
site adds interest and draws visitors' attention. MPEG-4 is a multimedia
container format. The format, with DRM removed, can also be played in the
webOS Video Player for use on the Palm Pre, Palm Pixi smartphones. M4V
can be read by all Mac products, like iPhone and iPod Touch, but it is
not widely readable in non-Mac devices and programs. There are two definitions
for the term M4V. The first is that raw MPEG-4 Visual bitstreams are named
.m4v. The second, and much more likely, is that you have legally downloaded
a video file from the Apple iTunes store and it has the M4V extension.
These files can be movies, TV shows or music videos and all will include
Apple's FairPlay DRM copyright protection.
What is BMP?
Bitmap images are some of the simplest images available for computers.
Consisting of pixel data and image information, bitmaps are essentially
binary data describing simple pixellated images. BMP files are not used
for transferring images on the Internet or other slow or capacity-limited
media because they are too large and not typically compressed. For example
an 800x600 image occupies nearly 1.5 megabytes. However this format it
quite commen due to its simplicity and widespread familiarity in MS Windows.
Besides it's free of patents and well-documented. A bitmap image file loaded
into memory becomes a DIB data structure - an important component of the
Windows GDI API. The in-memory DIB data structure is almost the same as
the BMP file format, but it does not contain the 14-byte bitmap file header
and begins with the DIB header. For DIBs loaded in memory, the color table
can optionally consist of 2-byte entries - these entries constitute indexes
to the currently realized palette instead of explicit RGB color definitions.
The new extended headers can be used with some GDI functions instead of
the older ones, providing more functionality. Since the GDI supports a
function for loading bitmap files, typical Windows applications use that
functionality. One consequence of this is that for such applications, the
BMP formats that they support match the formats supported by the Windows
version being run. The bitmap image file consists of fixed-size structures
(headers) as well as variable-size structures appearing in a predetermined
sequence. Many different versions of some of these structures can appear
in the file, due to the long evolution of this file format.
