What is M2TS?
The M2TS file format is used to encode digital video that is formatted
onto Blu-ray DVDs. Since an M2TS file is compressed with an MPEG-2 video
file, it can essentially be treated and distributed as any other digital
video file. Almost all commercially produced Blu-ray Disc titles use copy
protection method called Advanced Access Content System, which encrypts
content of the disc (including M2TS files). There are two major variants
of MPEG-2 TS. If multiple programs are sets of video and other Streams
intended to play together, are muxed into the TS it's called an MPTS, or
Multiple Program Transport Stream. Video content created using AVCHD equipment
is commonly unencrypted. This container format is commonly used for high
definition video on Blu-ray Disc and AVCHD. Some players will need an appropriate
codec, component or plugin installed. The only other piece of software
known currently to handle both types is Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate and
Cyberlink Power Director v8. Panasonic, Canon and other brands of AVCHD
camcorders also store recorded video in BDAV container format. There are
some problems with AVCHD compatibility between brands. Currently, M2TS
files can be played using the Picture Motion Browser, which is an application
video player provided with Sony AVCHD camcorders. The M2TS file extension
is used to distribute digital video saved in the high-definition Blu-ray
BDAV format. The BDAV container format (.m2ts) is a standard used on Blu-ray
Discs. M2TS format from Sony is not necessarily the same as that of Panasonic
or Canon camcorders. The names of M2TS files are in the form "zzzzz.m2ts",
where "zzzzz" is a 5-digit number corresponding to the audiovisual
clip.
What is iPhone?
iPhone is a smartphone made by Apple that combines an iPod, a tablet PC,
a digital camera and a cellular phone. The device includes Internet browsing
and networking capabilities. The iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S, running iOS 6
or later, have the ability to take panoramas using the built-in camera
app, and the iPhone 5 also has the ability to take still photos while recording
video. Safari is the iPhone's native web browser, and it displays pages
similar to its Mac and Windows counterparts. Web pages may be viewed in
portrait or landscape mode and the device supports automatic zooming by
pinching together or spreading apart fingertips on the screen, or by double-tapping
text or images. It is worth mentioning that Safari doesn't allow file downloads
except for predefined extensions. The iPhone does not support Flash. Directly
above the volume controls is a ring/silent switch that when engaged mutes
telephone ringing, alert sounds from new & sent emails, text messages,
and other push notifications, camera shutter sounds, Voice Memo sound effects,
phone lock/unlock sounds, keyboard clicks, and spoken autocorrections.
This switch does not mute alarm sounds from the Clock application, and
in some countries or regions it will not mute the camera shutter or Voice
Memo sound effects. All buttons except Home were made of plastic on the
original iPhone and metal on all later models. The touchscreen furnishes
the remainder of the user interface. iOS (previously iPhone OS) is a mobile
operating system developed and distributed by Apple Inc. Originally released
in 2007 for the iPhone and iPod Touch, it has been extended to support
other Apple devices such as the iPad and Apple TV.
