Convert H.263 to H.264
|
H.263 to H.264 Converter Software converts H.263 files to H.264. With
an easy-to-use interface, it makes H.263 to H.264 conversion routine as easy
as 1-2-3, without knowledge of H.263 and H.264. The converter helps any beginners
and experts to create high quality video files in minutes. This program encodes
H.263 to H.264 with professional quality. The H.263 to H.264 Converter Software enables
more people enjoy the advantage about this advanced video
coding. The H.264 is one of HTML5 video formats, you can also
put the H.264 video to your website.
The software could convert more than 100 media foramts to popular video formats
and portable devices such as BMP image sequence, WAV, CAF (Core Audio Format), OGM, MPA, iPod, 3GP, etc. It could convert MPEG to Windows Phone, FLV to MP2, RM to Android Tablet, DVD to FLAC, MPEG to PPM image sequence,
and so on.
H.263 to H.264 Converter Software supports batch conversion and,
is full compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP/2000.
What is H.263?
H.263 is a video codec standard originally designed as a low-bitrate compressed
format for videoconferencing. H.263 may be used for bidirectional or unidirectional
visual communication The coding algorithm of H.263 is similar to that used
by H.261, however with some improvements and changes to improve performance
and error recovery. H.263 is CPU intensive, so data rates higher than 50
KBps may bog down most machines. It may not play well on lower-end machines.
H.263 is a required video codec in ETSI 3GPP technical specifications for
IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) and Transparent
end-to-end Packet-switched Streaming Service (PSS). H.263 has since found
many applications on the internet: much Flash Video content (as used on
sites such as YouTube, Google Video, MySpace, etc.) used to be encoded
in Sorenson Spark format (an incomplete implementation of H.263), though
many sites now use VP6 or H.264 encoding. The support of 4CIF and 16CIF
means the codec could then compete with other higher bitrate video coding
standards such as the MPEG standards. H.263 uses variable length coding
to be transmit symbols H.263v2 (also known as H.263+, or as the 1998 version
of H.263) is the informal name of the second edition of the ITU-T H.263
international video coding standard. It retained the entire technical content
of the original version of the standard, but enhanced H.263 capabilities
by adding several annexes which can substantially improve encoding efficiency
and provide other capabilities (such as enhanced robustness against data
loss in the transmission channel). The H.263+ project was ratified by the
ITU in February 1998.
What is H.264?
The H.264 video file format is a compressed file that still maintains all
of its video and audio detail. CPU based solutions are known to be much
more flexible, particularly when encoding must be done concurrently in
multiple formats, multiple bit rates and resolutions (multi-screen), and
possibly with additional features on container format support, advanced
integrated advertising features, etc. Apple has official adopted H.264
as the format for QuickTime. For temporal bitstream scalability (i.e.,
the presence of a sub-bitstream with a smaller temporal sampling rate than
the main bitstream), complete access units are removed from the bitstream
when deriving the sub-bitstream. Occasionally, it is also referred to as
"the JVT codec", in reference to the Joint Video Team (JVT) organization
that developed it. The Scalable Video Coding extensions were completed
in November 2007. In early 1998, the Video Coding Experts Group (VCEG -
ITU-T SG16 Q.6) issued a call for proposals on a project called H.26L,
with the target to double the coding efficiency (which means halving the
bit rate necessary for a given level of fidelity) in comparison to any
other existing video coding standards for a broad variety of applications.
In December 2001, VCEG and the Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG - ISO/IEC
JTC 1/SC 29/WG 11) formed a Joint Video Team (JVT), with the charter to
finalize the video coding standard. The standardization of the first version
of H.264/AVC was completed in May 2003. For example, H.264 has been reported
to give the same Digital Satellite TV quality as current MPEG-2 implementations
with less than half the bitrate, with current MPEG-2 implementations working
at around 3.5 Mbit/s and H.264 at only 1.5 Mbit/s. To ensure compatibility
and problem-free adoption of H.264/AVC, many standards bodies have amended
or added to their video-related standards so that users of these standards
can employ H.264/AVC.
